Mark Ossian is a lifelong Dunedin native whose family’s history is deeply woven into the fabric of the community. Born at Mease Hospital and raised in Dunedin, Mark attended San Jose Elementary School, Dunedin Middle School, and Dunedin High School. His family lived in a neighborhood just north of Dunedin High School that was developed by his maternal grandfather, whose orange groves were once a part of Dunedin’s agricultural landscape before becoming residential neighborhoods.

Mark’s connection to Dunedin extends far beyond geography. He grew up playing Dunedin Little League, Babe Ruth Baseball, and Senior League Baseball, spending his childhood and teenage years on the fields and in the neighborhoods that helped shape him. Although he spent twenty years living in nearby Clearwater, he never lost touch with his hometown, often saying, “I may live in Clearwater, but I am from Dunedin.” Throughout that time, his parents continued to reside in Dunedin, and Mark maintained close ties to the community he has always considered home.

Today, Mark brings a lifelong understanding of Dunedin, along with decades of professional experience as both an attorney and Certified Public Accountant. He is passionate about preserving the city's unique character, supporting high-quality city services, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and ensuring Dunedin remains the welcoming, charming community generations of residents have been proud to call home.
